Comprehensive RE planning
Jigsaw RE is the most comprehensive RE programme for ages 3-12. With over 80+ enquiries, both medium and short-term planning, RE has never been so engaging, accessible and fun.
Jigsaw RE encourages young minds to build awareness and understanding of the world around them, different language and communication, and develop their broader personal, social and emotional skills.
Ensure your staff have confidence in delivering and assessing Religious Education with Jigsaw’s three strand assessment system, harnessing personal development, substantive knowledge and disciplinary knowledge.
It adopts an enquiry-based worldview approach to teaching and learning with much flexibility and choice of when to include which of the 8 religions/worldviews.
These choices are aligned with the Cornwall Agreed Syllabus and offer additional scope to include Buddhism, Sikhism, Humanism and more at the school’s discretion. Jigsaw RE is also compatible with Understanding Christianity, having worked with the Church of England to see how to fit the two together to produce the best results in the classroom for Church Schools using UC.
We have teacher background knowledge prompt sheets, knowledge organisers, and editable sample policy documents. As well as this, we provide in-person and online training, free webinars and mentoring led by experts in the field.
The Owl Crew enhance pupils’ engagement, allowing them to deepen their critical thinking skills enabling them to be both the asker and receiver of questions.
With children’s well-being and education at the forefront of Jigsaw RE, the weekly lesson plans include all the resources required to deliver RE to the highest standard.
