Feb 2018 - The Complexities of Equality

transgender gender quality intercom trust

YAY/Intercom Trust has been working with young LGBTQ+ people in Cornwall for more than 20 years. We run regular LGBTQ+ youth groups in Truro, Gender Identity Family Days in Camborne, LGBTQ+ Lunch Time groups in schools all around Cornwall, Gender Identity conferences for professionals, Drop Down Day sessions in schools for pupils, and HBT (Homophobia/Biphobia/Transphobia) Anti-Bullying training for teachers, and conferences for both young LGBTQ+ people and professionals.

We offer one-to-one work for individuals, and Intercom has a designated Helpline. We also conduct on-going research with young LGBTQ+ people, sometimes this is unique within the UK, as are the conferences we run for young people and professionals.

We will be delivering two, half-day seminars in the new year for CAPH, which will cover all of the above, plus more of the work we do, and the research we collect, we will also share practical support for schools.

The sessions will be relevant for primary and secondary schools.
